Capitol Hill Cluster Schools

Over the 2012-2013 school year, EdLab is working with the Capitol Hill Cluster teachers to bring mission-based learning into the classroom. The goal is to make learning real and relevant to students lives, and create a sustainable model for doing so.

 

International Museum of Art and Science

EdLab is partnering with the International Museum of Art and Science (IMAS) in McAllen, Texas to create a model for museum collaboration and to reach new audiences. IMAS, a Smithsonian Affiliate museum, participated in EdLab's Mission Possible workshops over the summer. They are now challenged to apply EdLab's philosophy and mission-based approach to their own programming.

 

Exploring Identity 

EdLab is working with local teachers and students to create classroom missions based on the themes of migration, immigration and identity formation. After the missions are implemented in the spring, student-created products will be tested with museum audiences.
